Bringing the demand and supply of food produce has been a great challenge for the professionals and policy makers all around the globe.  The ever increasing attention towards organic farming has motivated the researchers to conduct the present study so as to understand the obstacles in adopting organic farming (OF), in developing countries. Keeping in view the existing gap in the literature of organic farming an exploratory qualitative approach has been used so as to get insights of the organic farming and to explore the new fact so as to contribute in the existing body of knowledge. The study found that: the absence of organization to assess and certify organic products, high cost, lack of financing sources, low yield, high price, specific market of organic food, low environmental awareness of farmers, unsuccessful agricultural reforms, lack of coordination among stakeholders and institutional changes have been the main obstacles needed to be resolved so as to increase the organic farming in developing countries

    Get PDF
Aim/purpose: the current study explains the mediation of ERP in the role of a socio-technical approach and decision-making with firms’ sustainable performance. Background: despite the existence of existing literature on success and failure factors of ERP, the current work highlights the impact of socio-technical factors and decision-making environment on ERP success. Additionally, the weak research work regarding the mediation of ERP is addressed here in this study and has tried to fill the mentioned gap. Contribution: the most important contribution of the study is assessing the mediating role of the ERP system in the linkage of decision-making environment and socio-technical factors. Moreover, the work contributes by examining the moderation of organizational culture while relating the socio-technical environment and ERP system. Findings: the study finds that there is a significant role of ERP as a mediator while relating socio-technical elements and the decision-making environment; however, we do not find any significant moderation of organizational culture in the linkage of ERP system and socio-technical elements. Impact on Society: the societal implication of the study is that it provides a reference for the firms having the same cultural characteristics while using ERP to overcome the issue of pollution in Iraq

Understanding and Predicting the Determinants of Consumers’ Acceptance and Usage of M-commerce Application: Hybrid SEM and Neural Network Approach

    Get PDF
In m-commerce, privacy and security are major concerns. Existing research has examined the privacy and relationship, security, and intention to use. However, the determinants of privacy and security in mobile commerce remain largely unexplored. A study based on UTAUT2 and trust examines the factors that influence mobile commerce privacy and security. By using the approach of hybrid SEM/ANN analysis, it is possible to detect non-linear and non-compensatory relationships. According to linear and compensatory models, the absence of one determinant can be compensated for by another. The decision-making process of consumers is actually quite complex, and non-compensatory or linear models tend to simplify it. The sample is collected by using a mobile commerce application in order to gather 890 datasets on mobile commerce consumers. Findings: (1) Two determinants of M-commerce acceptance and use had an explicit and significant positive effect. Security and individual are two of these factors. (2) Privacy concerns have a severe negative impact on M-commerce acceptance and use. (3) Trust is found to partially mediate the effect on behavioral intentions of Security Factors (SCF), Privacy Factors (PRF), and Individual Factors (INF) on m-commerce in Jordan (INTENTION). According to the integrated model, m-commerce offers 71% privacy, security, and trust. Doi: 10.28991/ESJ-2022-06-06-018 Full Text: PD

We examine the impact of different factors that affect the acceptance of e-payment in Jordan. The theoretical base of the research is UTAUT with an additional factor of security. The design of the study is quantitative and the data collection instrument was close-ended questionnaire the included the questions related demography of the respondents as well as the variables presented in the model. The sample size was 370 banks customers. The data analysis were performed using Smart PLS 3. With 5 predictors on behavioural intention, the R2 was 0.461. Effort expectancy, facilitating condition, performance expectancy, and social influence were all positively related to behavioural intention. However, for the perceived security, it is shown that the behavioural intention does not play a significant factor. Finally, our model provides guidelines at the managerial level to advance their system of e-payment

The research aims to develop a structural model of user knowing –doing gap and examine the information security awareness through the model and evaluate the information security awareness at industrial level. The sample of the study is 360. The study empirically tested the two small parts of the theory of planned behavior and named them model 1 and 2. The relationship of the variables were found out using the regression model. The research had total five hypothesis and all of them were supported and the results were significant. Hence concluding that (Narcissism, Vulnerability and Severity) have significant impact on Attitude while locus of control and self-efficacy have significant impact over Behavioral control

Academic literature in customer behavior and branding is still debatable, with respect to brand loyalty in particular. This study empirically attempts to discuss this particular issue by examining the relationship between brand awareness and brand loyalty. Also, it seeks to investigate the mediation role of brand commitment in initial relationship to tackle the mixed results in the prior attempts. The data were collected from customers of Islamic bank brand in Mafraq Governorate in Jordan. PLS-SEM techniques were applied to a sample of 90 customers to test hypothesized relationships. The results revealed that brand awareness and brand commitment have a significant and positive relationship with brand loyalty. In addition, brand commitment was found to be a mediator in the relationship between brand awareness and brand loyalty. This paper has discussed the results and an implication compared with prior versions as well as introducing some of recommendations for future research. Keywords: Brand loyalty, Brand awareness, Brand commitment

Depending on a model for organizational context within work groups and a job perspective for the socially responsible behaviors, we have developed and examined a model for small and medium enterprises' success within the work place that explains some reasons leading to small and medium institutions' success. The sample included 217 workers in small and medium companies in Iraq. It was found that the intellectual capital integration and intentional junior accountants' turnover were related to small and medium companies' success within the work place for companies' members, in addition, there was a direct relationship between accountants' turnover and intellectual capital integration and small and medium companies' success and there also was an indirect relationship mediated by the financial knowledge management system within work groups.W zależności od kontekstu modelu organizacyjnego w grupach roboczych i perspektywy pracy dla zachowań odpowiedzialnych społecznie, opracowano i zbadano model sukcesu małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw, który wyjaśnia wybrane przesłanki prowadzące do sukcesu tych firm. Próba obejmowała 217 pracowników w małych i średnich przedsiębiorstwach w Iraku. Stwierdzono, że integracja kapitału intelektualnego i celowa rotacja młodszego personelu finansowego były związane z sukcesem małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw, ponadto istniał bezpośredni związek między rotacją personelu finansowego a integracją kapitału intelektualnego i sukcesem małych i średnich firm, a także pośredni związek z systemem zarządzania wiedzą przez system zarządzania wiedzą finansową w ramach grup roboczych
